CURRICULUM
Learn the complete drum kit — bass drum, snare, toms, hi-hats, and cymbals — through systematic exercises in grip, stick control, coordination, and reading drum notation. Build grooves across rock, jazz, funk, and world music styles.
From the first strokes on the dayan and bayan to complex tabla compositions in teentaal, jhaptaal, and ektaal, this program guides you through the complete journey of North Indian classical percussion.
Develop your internal clock, groove sensibility, and creative beat-making skills. Study rhythmic grouping, polyrhythms, clave patterns, and contemporary beat production — from hand percussion to digital DAW-based composition.
PROGRAM OUTCOME
Percussion students leave as confident, versatile rhythm players with performance experience, recording exposure, and a deep understanding of groove, time, and musicality.
